Hello,
in May I downloaded and installed the file sims2ep5_patch_cd.exe from
http://thesims2.ea.com, which was 45.5 MB (47,777,046 bytes). Today I
downloaded the same file from the same webpage and it is 47.1 MB
(49,426,923 bytes).

Is it a policy of EA to modify patches without notice or did I miss
something?

I can't remember the dates, but there were two different patches for
Seasons. They took the first down when they put the second up.

another release of the patch may create confusion in (careful) users. :
