I just ducked by the site and saw that they have the patch out. Now
I'm going back to see what it's supposed to do. <smile>

That was funny!

I was happy to see that they fixed it so that sims don't stay furious
"forever".

I must say that "Social bunny can no longer be killed" made me laugh.
But the one thing that annoys me is that the haven't fixed the bug that
you can't move objects next to road with the moveobjects cheat, I used
that to move the dustbin and mailbox to the right place after building a
house. During the last chat they said they were going to do something
about it.

I'm using Daemon tools for a No CD and when I started the patch, it
didn't ask for the OFB CD and started the update. I don't remember this
happening when I did the NL patch using daemon tools for the no cd. I
canceled the action. Has this happened to anybody else who's using a no
cd for OFB????

How strange!!!! I unmounted the mini image & started the update again &
it updated without asking for the OFB CD. I hope I've not screwed up my
game. This is weird! Am I the only one?? It said on the update page that
the OFB cd would be needed for the update.

If you use Safediskhider or Curerom with the Daemon image, the patch
will update from the image without any problems. At least it did for
me,(I use my own image made with Alcohol), I think the patch only look
for the CD-protection on the disk.

Thanks! I posted about it at the Sims BBS & got 2 replies that it didn't
ask for the CD for them either. Wonder if they are using the no cd. LOL
I had it (the mini image) unmounted though and the sd4 hider off so
maybe this update just didn't ask for the OFB CD after all. I feel
better now. Thanks again.

I'm not using the noCD method this time (yet) and the update didn't ask
me for the CD either.

That's really weird. I took a look at the patch with an editor and it
should ask for the disk, but I'm not an expert so I could be wrong.

Well, I've had several more replies telling me that no CD is asked for.
That is odd! Oh, well, I've also read that the patch is screwing things
up for some also. I hope I don't have any problems that I wasn't having
before. It could be hacks that some are using that is causing problems
and not the OFB EP.

Previous patches only asked for the disk so it could fix the problem with
the objects.package getting corrupted - it would copy a fresh one from the
cd. Now that Maxis has fixed the problem (hopefully) they don't need to do
that anymore.

I installed the patch early this morning and have been playing the
game for hours today but it hasn't given me any problems so far.
