Greeting Simmers!

I'm in the process of launching a whole new link directory for The Sims
and need help. Right now I host FreeSims2Sites which has links to free
content, tools, and things for The Sims 2. However with the coming of the
Sims 3 I would like to put together a link directory for all things relating
to The Sims. Due to the fact I don't play the original Sims anymore, I know
shame on me. I need help with obtaining links to sites that are still
available and/or active in reference to the following. You can either email
me or reply to this message.

All I need is the name of the site and the web address and which Sims it
relates too. For content, tips, new, and anything to do with expansion
and/or stuff.

The Sims
The Sims 2
The Sims 3
SimsCity
SimsCitySocieties
MySims
TheSimsStories

Thanks for the help.
Jen

You might want to check out the Sims 2 Wiki content lists
http://www.sims2wiki.info/wiki.php?title=Content_Lists

Although some of the links are outdated, many of them are still current.

A lot of the stuff for the original Sims game is now hosted on Yahoo Groups
rather than sites so it's kind of hard to find. The only two sites I know of
that actually has Sims stuff are The Sims Resource and Simlogical.

I don't know about the other games, but there's not really much for the Sims
Stories series other than the official Yahoo Group. A few people hanging out
on there made Yahoo Groups and proceeded to create content for the game, but
last time I looked all they had was a couple of wedding dresses. I wrote a
walkthrough for SLS and it's up on GameFAQs. There's a walkthrough for
Castaway Stories on a blog, but right now I cannot remember where.

Here we go:

Parsimonious does as well, and a have a folder of ancient links some of
which might work, but they will have come from the wiki I think.

I forgot about Parsimonious! Don't know about their Sims stuff, but some of
their Sims 2 stuff is very nice.

I didn't discover CC for the original Sims until quite late in the game. And
all I had were some heads and clothes. I can still remember how terrified I
was of stuffing up my game when putting it in for the first time. It's so
much less nerve racking with TS2 - create a Downloads folder and chuck it
all in! And people still don't get it. Last week I was trying to explain how
to put in and enable CC to someone. I wrote them step-by-step instructions.
Something like 5 or 6 steps. So simple. And this person just declared
themselves an idiot and said they weren't going to do it because it was too
confusing. Download, extract, put in folder, enable, exit and play are
apparently too hard to follow. I have to agree - they ARE an idiot!

Cheers!

I didn't discover it at all until after I started Sims 2 but then that
wasn't very long. I got some stuff later when I was playing both, and was a
little horrified that I couldn't organise it - not that we could have so
many subfolders back then and the file names were all silly, but it was much
easier to add and remove. And the catalogue is better. Mine is bad
enough with all the subdivisions, The Sims has so few! Still, I got a few
things from odd places.

But it is very easy now, I'm surprised anyone finds it all that confusing.
