Yeah, a little too realistic if you ask me. It looks more like a
photo.

I wish they'd include decent freeway building tools. So that you could
build custom interchange designs/offramps, and it'd be cool if you
could have the 4-level stack interchange, and 10-15 lane
super-highways!

right.....so they went back to the practice of calling it by the thousand
(2000, 3000, etc) after changing it to SimCity4...and they don't mark their
screenshots with any kind of copyright info....and they don't incorporate
any other proof that this picture is part of a game....

yep, you fooled us.

I think they should regionalise the game personally. The games so far have
had numerous features only really relevant to the US. We make do perfectly
well in the UK without all these massive ugly raised freeways, nothing wrong
with building them along the ground and it saves one whole lotta concrete!
Also I've lost count of the amount of times that I've wanted to build a
roundabout instead of a poxy crossroad!

Chris.

Roundabouts are easy....

Create a crossroad, then create the roundabout by dragging a road or street
section to the crossing road. SC4 automatically turns it into a curved
section of road linking the crossing roads. do it for all 4 tiles. Finally
remove the crossroad from the centre of the roundabout.

I create them all the time, mostly in commercial districts, and reserve them
as place to put the mayoral statue rewards or parks, and make them the
appropriate size depending on the statue size..

I'll post a 'snapshot' of one later today....

Unfortunately if you do it that way you end up with a two-way street
functioning as a roundabout. Use the one-way road instead to describe a
squared-circle and you're there. I drop a plaza or flower garden in the
center and everyone's happy.

Create a clockwise (US), counter-clockwise (UK) one-way road square with an
empty 4x4, 5x5 or 6x6 space in the middle.

Attach an avenue at 12:00, 3:00, 6:00 and 9:00 on the one-way sections.

Viola! A traffic circle (roundabout).

About six squares out from the one-way road, create another regular road in
a square pattern. What you should have now resembles a rifle scope's
crosshairs with two outer rings.

It works great if you place a Park or Landmark in the middle and Commercial
zones around it. In the smaller corners place bus stops, subway stations,
small parks and police kiosks since it can get real dense real quick.

You will also be amazed at how well traffic works in a roundabout!

Simcity 5 - I read somewhere Unfortunately I can't find it now. Anyway what I read confirmed that EA/MAXIS is currently working on SimCity 5! I'll post when I find It again.

(on the topic of railways....) - Hi Just a [simple] question. What do you do when your rail stations get over 100% cap? DO i have to go to elevated rail or monorail? I have tried building stations around that particular station - but then they are not used at all!
