Anyone else having these things happen?:

1) Sim drives to a lot fine, but when it's time to go I can't get him to
interact with his car anymore. The arrow cursor is shaded out and there
are "no options available." (Yes, I've tried running the arrow over
every inch of the car.) The sim has to call a cab. Usually the cab
will come, the sim gets in, and the cab drives *through* the sim's own
car to get home, but....

Last time I did this, the cab wound up permanently stuck behind the car,
beeping its horn. Finally had to quit without saving because my sim's
needs were all getting pretty red after sitting in a cab for two days.
When I returned to the sim's house lot, I saw the sim floating towards
his driveway as though he were in an invisible car. When he reached the
driveway, the car "rematerialized" and the sim parked it and got out as
though nothing happened.

2) When they go shopping for clothes, sometimes they go into a changing
booth when I tell them to try something on and sometimes they just spin
and change in the store and look in the mirror. I can't click on the
changing booth in these cases. I get the same grayed out pointer and
"no options available."

3) I know there was a third one, but my Alzheimers is kicking in right
now. Where's my coffee? Smile

This is a known bug and I can't remember what the fix is. You need to go
and search somewhere like mod the sims 2 or, probably better, More Awesome
Than You and see what that turns up.

Best wishes

Have you patched the game?

The patch was supposed to fix this ("Sims no longer get stuck on community
lots when a Sim autonomously chooses to leave in the same car that they
arrived in" according to the EA web site).
