can a ship tow a ship towing a ship? - At all? If the total hull mass does not exceed that of the tower? thx

For the EE which is better: planet or ship tech? - Boring day at work so I thought I'd put a question to the group, see what people thought. It's a question about strategy and style of play so I don't expect absolute right or wrong answers, I'm after opinions. When playing the EE, in the first turn's..

Changing Ship Graphics - Is there a way to switch out the displayed graphic of a ship in the ship overview screen? ie. Take the Light Ship for example. It, as all other ships have 4 images with it. For all ship it seems to be image # 2 that is used for the ship..

There are still occurrences in the game that I don't understand.

I wanted to exchange two tower ships and sent the faster ship (same
ship class, only with better engines) to rendezvous with the slower
pair of ships at a point in space and to take over the towee and move
on. It didn't happen. They met, but the faster ship didn't take up the
towee as I expected it to since it tow power was higher.

I have vaguely in my mind a memory of past discussions about how you
needed to be a miminum of time intervals within a specified range (in
which thing are allowed to happen) to have the next procecure check
kick in while host runs through the movement phases. Is that still
true? Doesn't host check for these commands at each movement instance?

There isn't support in the code for this manuever now, but it's a good
point that should be handled. I'll look into it.

That's good. Now I don't need to feel alone in the dark.

Very highly appreciated. Your answer also explains why there was nada,
nothing in the logs of the involved ships about the tow attempt while
a parallel transfer between the ships on that occassion was dutifully
recorded.

On a slightly related topic...

is towing still broken? I have not tried it, but what I am referring
to is that is race A has a Wp and speed set and Race B attempts to tow
it the tow always fails, even if ship from race B has a LOT more tow
power or engine power or what have you. Spindizzies not in
consideration for this request as they are special.
