There are actually... four Shining games for the PS2, I think? They're
all action-RPGs and don't have the tactical grid combat you're used to
from Shining Force. Think of Diablo more than Ultima and you'll have a
pretty good handle on what kinds of games these are.
Shining Force Neo and Shining Force EXA are the most like Diablo, with the
isometric viewpoint and combo-based attacks. Shining Tears is more of a 2D
game like Shining Wisdom on the Saturn, and is in fact a de facto sequel
to the Shining Soul games on the Gameboy Advance. There's also Shining
Wind, which is a sequel to Shining Tears but isn't yet available in the
west.
I like both of the Shining Force games on the PS2, but then again I knew
what I was getting into. You should definitely try before you buy, if you
can.

Disregard this rule if the meat in the nuggets is not actually chicken.
