Shaman weapon?

I agree, for a melee class there is absolutely nothing more important
than your weapon.

That said, if you're a draenai Shaman good luck finding anything,
especially if its your only character and your pocketbook is a bit
thin.

AH is completely empty these days of mail/maces/axes/staves.

For every class that uses their weapon to do damage there's nothing
that's of more benefit than their weapon. I'd rather spend a bit of
cash to get a blue weapon of my level, than to run around with a
green "of the owl" weapon I found or the blue weapon I got from a
boss on my 5th visit to the instance when I've already outgrown it.

The AH is there for a reason. The reason is that you sell the stuff
that's little benefit to you, and buy the stuff that's great benefit.
If you are going to use the leather chest with wrong stats for your
class and which is 5 levels lower than you, instead of selling it in
the AH and buy a chest that's of YOUR level with YOUR stats, you
neither use the AH to your advantage nor do anything smart money
wise.
