Anything that looks like a giant pink popsicle would mess with anyone's
head. Mind you I can't understand why anyone would want to wear large rubber
feet! Do you consult a thesaurus before you email? Seems you always have one
word in your sentences that are not commonly used! Rather entertaining.

Is it possible that you have immersed yourself too deeply into RE? Now ...
if you knew someone named Wesker ...

No, I don't like dinosaurs...

It's getting crepuscular earlier here now I notice.
They've started showing Family Guy over here. In last night's episode
the local bar was turned into a British pub, some of the regulars
complain and a comment from one of the British customers is "let's get
them to leave using our superior linguistic skills"...
I just have an ability to pick words up I suppose. Strange really, at
the school I went to, the ability to count to ten unaided was viewed
with deep suspicion. Due to my not being keen on sports, there were
rumours that I liked books (and not the sort with pictures you coloured
in...).
As you can gather, I didn't really like school. The only way I'd
revisit it is in a lancaster bomber full of horse dung...
>Mind you I can't understand why anyone would want to wear large rubber feet!
She immersed herself completely in Lord of the Rings. She would dress
up as Frodo and go to sci-fi fairs to meet members of the cast. She'd
started to have a thing for Elijah Wood I think, as she bought all his
movies and any magazine with him on the cover.
>Is it possible that you have immersed yourself too deeply into RE? Now ...

Oh dear, this is going to sound to good to be true, but my father's
name is Albert. His continuing existance makes me curse the strict gun

Clever!

I don't mind entertaining words ... but when I have to drag out a dictionary
.... even more embarassing "crepuscular" wasn't even in there!

Personally I think the dog is brilliant.

Some of my fondest memories are of "those sorts of books".

There you go again. Can't just be a bomber, it has to be a "Lancaster"
bomber.

She didn't try to attach pointy little ears to you whilst you slept ... I
hope. Those ears were well hidden by his lovely curly hair!

It's the semi darkness before the night draws in fully. I only know it
because when I worked at the archaelogy unit, we all used to chip in
doing the Times crossword and it came up once...
I was a bit obscure with that one. Please accept my most sincere
contrafibularities...

I'll bet it crossed her mind, she did have a pair for herself. I still
think she gave me the boot because I didn't look like her hero.
>Ok. I'll give you that one, but do you know a Krauser?
No, and neither did Leon until Capcom engineered a clumsy attempt at a
connection between RE4 and the previous games ^_^
I still remember the first time I played his confrontation with Leon -
Oh my God ! it's the death defying return of that sinister arch-villain
.... errm, who we've never bloody heard of before.
I almost manged to keep hold of the controller while giggling, but then
he delivered his stunningly bad line: "Umbrella - damn, I've said too
much...". He had indeed! I dropped the controller and dissolved into
fits of laughter. I had to do the whole finger breaking knife fight
again...

There ya go! I'm going to get an education on the internet after all. You
realize if you've made that up - you are most likely in the wrong line of
work. Contrafibularities?

I hate to say it, but you are probably right. It is unusual to hear it from
a male perspective - not measuring up to past or imagined loves is usually a
female's lot in life.

"Clumsy attempt" - now that's flippin hilarious. I always repeat the finger
breaking knife fight multiple times whether I drop the controller (throw it)
or not! You must have done well in english at school - your communications
skills are very entertaining indeed. Have you managed to get back to RE4
yet? Or are you perhaps avoiding going through the game yet again to get to
the new goodies? I have to admit I was miffed that Capcom gave the PS2
version so many more goodies. They might not have sold too many copies of
the game if they hadn't. I just wish they had put it on a system that was
more ... co operative.

Well it wasn't very nice how she did it! I forked out for the coach
trip to when she lived, about 200 miles away, and when I turned up she
tells me it's over!
Then she changes her mind, and I stay a week (over Christmas), then she
changes her mind back. Ho hum.
What naffed me off most was how her parents turned on me - I'd held
them in high regard, then found out that they'd hated me for years.
Pair of two faced gits Xp (I think after the relationship lasted longer
than a year, four and a half in fact, it had dawned on them I might
take their little girl away from them. It was amusing that all they
could think of was that they didn't like me because I didn't pay them
while I stayed there!)
A reall laugh happened about a year ago though, I saw a magazine
article in which she was interviewed. In it she says how dressing up as
Frodo gave her a purpose in life "No man ever looked at me and I was so
unhappy until I started dressing up as a hobbit" This after I'd been
with her four and a half years...
>"Clumsy attempt" - now that's flippin hilarious.
The scene: Capcom headquarters. Some execs are discussing their new
release - RE4...
Exec #1 : "There's a lot of changes in this, people might not think
it's a resi game after all."
Exec #2 : "But that's what we wanted, to get away from the old stuff -
zombies, chests, weapons with real names, walls with "X-DR" written on
them..."
Exec #1 : "But we might have gone too far, weird tramps selling guns in
what appears to be a 19th century spanish village where everything is
written in English - the fans might not like it."
Exec #3 : "But we left green herbs in."
Exec #2 : "We couldn't not, RE without green herbs would be like Popeye
with out spinach."
Exec #3 : "You mean like the Robin Williams movie?"
Exec #2 : *starts to open mouth*
Exec #1 : *points at exec #2 * "Mention the Paul Anderson movies and
I'll fire you!"
Exec #3 : "I know - we'll leave a fleeting reference to Umbrella in the
game. It'll keep the gamers speculating and reading things into the
plot that aren't there!"
Exec #1 : "At least until we release the PS2 version and get them to
buy it again"
Many a true word spoken in jest ^_^
>Have you managed to get back to RE4 yet?
Unfortunately not, I started playing Eternal Darkness which I picked up
cheap at the game shop. I will get back to RE 4, It's just I'm enjoying
new games rather than new versions of old ones at the mo. I will get
back to it, as I want to see the new stuff.

That was a sweet scene.
My only (mild) disappointment was the Robbie Coltraine (the doctor) seemed
nervous in it. I only noticed because I always appreciate Robbie's aggressive
confidence in his verbal sparring.

Aye, I like Robbie as well.
My favourite Blackadder still has to be series 2, but the ending of
series 4 is still memorable...
And my favourite gag from series 2? "Vanished - like an old oak

I do like RE4, it's just there's a hell of a leap between the plots of
the previous stories and this one. Still, once I'd started shooting
things, I wasnt too concerned...

>If her parents truly got in on that charade, then shame on them.
She didn't know, it was as big a surprise to her as it was to me. She
found out a couple of hour before me and two friends came by to pick up
the few bits and bobs I'd left there. As I left her dad slammed the
door in my face. That was nearly two years ago and I only found out
about them hating me a couple of months back when Claire got in touch
and I got it out of her. It had been driving me nuts wondering what I'd
done that had caused them to apparently change so much.
I used to enjoy loading RE:CV and then letting Claire die horribly ^_^
I then watched a DVD of the series "Spaced". In one episode Simon
Pegg's character is in a bad mood and puts on "Tomb Raider" just so he
can watch Lara die again and again. It made me realise how infantile it
was, so I went and did it some more...
>As for buying it again - in my case three copies - I collect.
I've got RE2 for DC, PS, PC and GC. As I said before it was for
research purposes ^_^
I used to sculpt 25mm lead figures, one of which was "female zombie
hunter with grenade launcher".
>If you figure out how to get past a miniature hot air balloon looking thing

I might not be up to there yet, where is that? I'm half way through the
World War 1 scenario.
I finished RE4 last night after a marathon session! I then finished
Assignment Ada.
Now, I've only finished Assignment Ada on the GC once and it was very
late when I did it, but I don't remember the cut scene at the end, is
that new?
Also I don't seem to have unlocked the Chicago Typewriter, hmmm...
Methinks I'll be doing another gaming session tonight.

Brutally honest. Most guys merely say "she was a b--ch" leaving us females
to think she was probably not "putting out". I'm sure one day she will have
an equally nasty tale to tell, and perhaps well deserved. If her parents
truly got in on that charade, then shame on them. I hope for your sake those
were just hateful words from your ex and you weren't facing an angry mob
over the holidays.

Just had a look at Capcoms forum, here's their official line:
I've already mentioned this in the tech support forum, but please be
warned - RE4 only supports official Sony 8mb memory cards. We cannot
guarantee that the game will work corrently with non-standard memory
cards.
Tests have shown that in some cases users with Max memory cards can
find their RE4 saves have become corrupt, and even that other saves on
the card can be corrupted.
We strongly recommend you use an official memory card for this game.

If you set unconscious drunk people on fire, I wager you're not invited
to many frat parties. Though I suppose that would be one way to ensure
there are plenty of openings in the fraternity if you're rushing it....

Hmmmmm. Yes, even if you had a small sun lamp in the trunk, the green
herbs would probably die off anyway. First aid sprays probably last
much longer when stored in a trunk. They're also easier to explain to
your boss than the combat knife, grenade launcher, and 16 boxes of
