Neil, I've been looking for a number of years..

I did manage to find an upgrade kit - nothing huge, but it did the
following..

° Changed the color of the Celica to Red.
° Makes the tracks race in the opposite direction ( reverse )
° Makes your start button a turbo boost. ( limited boost )

I know there's other upgrades out there, but I've not had any luck finding
them.. If you do, keep me in the loop !

that sounds like the hacked version...It really doesn't matter to me just
interest to know what will install in that cabinet that is a plug and play
affair.

I've asked the same question over and over..

no one's been able to help, I've been told that SR:2 has interchangeable
boards with lots of the newer driver games - but SR:1 is not compatible...
which is a shame, I'd like to be able to play other games in that monster of
a cabinet...

yeah no kidding...anything that weights over 1100 lbs and is such a pain in
the ass to assemble you'd think could be converted

I have an Indy 500 Twin which is a Model 2B.

The big issue though is that those boards are so damn fragile that I'd be
worried trying to ship them around.
