I *think* they only need to know them. Certainly, Jack Thompson was raised
by his brothers (one of the other 7 Jack Thompsons) - they all hated him.

Where was the book of ads? In the manual, in the box, where was it
actually? 'Cos I might be able to find it and have a squiz.

In the box, behind the manual, with the flyer right at the back.

The Seasons flyer probably isn't in the Australian version of the game. I
haven't got mine yet (waiting to see if Father Christmas is good to me), but
I know that in the past I didn't get the same advertising as those in the US
and UK.
They're now advertising it on the front page of the official site:
http://thesims2.ea.com/
Here's the blurb http://thesims2.ea.com/about/ep5_index.php
And screenshots http://thesims2.ea.com/about/ep5_screenshots.php

I thought the same thing. I swore I was not going to buy anymore! Even
looking at the flyer for it in the Pets box didn't stir me up at all but now
looking at it, I'm thinking it's looking pretty good.

Would this have something to do with where you got it from? 'Cos I'm
from Australia and I have come to the conclusion that I didn't get a
Seasons flyer.
And another thing: Did the very first ones that were sold have them and
does it matter if you got Pets the minute it came out, or relaxed for
about a week before buying?

I got it about a month after release and still got the flyer - I think the
Ozzies just didn't get it (n'yah n'yah).
