Archived from groups: alt>games>the-sims-2 (more info?)

Seems like this is the next announced EP for the first quarter of 2007.
Apparently there are going to be seasons.

"Give your Sims a break and get them out of the house! This upcoming
expansion pack for the Sims 2 lets you to take your Sims outside where they
can engage in fun seasonal activities including snowball fights, playing
pool games like Marco Polo, and more. They can frolic in Spring showers,
fish in their own ponds, and grow seasonal fruits with unexpected
consequences. Whether you build them a small Winter chalet or a Summer
cabin, your Sims will enjoy every season - but watch out for unpredictable
weather! Available Early 2007."

One rumoured release date is 21 Feb.

Not sure where this information is originally coming from. I found it on a
forum at www.gamefaqs.com. Gamefaqs usually get it pretty right so hopefully
since they listed this, then it is actually coming.

I really like that idea and it's sad because I swore Pets would be the last
EP I'd buy. The flyer for it was in the Pets box.

Yeah, I'll probably buy it, too, but there are still lots of things in the
EPs I have now that I've never seen. LOL I've yet to see a vampire or
zombie, or even a wolf in Pets, much less the wolf with glowing eyes. Guess
I pay too much attention to what is going on IN the house at night. I only
get to play about twice a week so I guess there's no wonder on that.

I see the wolf all the time. The very first pet that visited my house when
I first got pet was a dog with glowing eyes. I thought it was a weird
looking dog and it even had a name. I figured it might be a wolf but wasn't
sure. So I petted it and played with it and it went on it's way.

Seen a few skunks, never been sprayed though

I saw it too, it certainly looked more like a dog than a wolf. After I got a Sim to
play with it it walked all over the house and then it started to eat the cat food
that was in the bowl. Trouble was, the cat had the same idea so she fought the
dog/wolf. Cat and dog went flying but the cat apparently won the fight and the dog
ran away. I've seen it a few times after that but it doesn't come into the house
anymore:-)

Bob Newbie, fresh from college, bought a beautiful Bombay. He took
Ebony for a walk, and came home with her, and a skunk. Quickly went for
another walk, and came home sans skunk, and got into the house fast.

If I could figure out how to get stray pets to become mine I'd keep a skunk
as a pet. Haven't figured out how to adopt strays yet though.

I did, but it was buried under the book of ads for other EA games.

Hmmm...all I got was a double-sided page inside the box advertising Pets
and TS2 on other consoles.

You have to befriend them (quite a bit). Maude Tremain (one of my vampires)
adopted an elder cat - she plays with her all night except when the cat is
asleep on the counter. First one I've had, very sweet. I don't think you
can adopt the skunk.

Put someone in you don't like, you'll soon see a zombie.
