Post subject: Saving function won't work anymore in POKEMON SILVER

The title says it all.. I've had this game (POKEMON SILVER) for awhile now (several years), but suddenly it wont save. When i do so, next time it just starts over again.. Its for GAMEBOY COLOR..

Can anyone say why or maybe how to fix it?
