I can't believe this game shipped with such a lousy design flaw -auto
save games. All I did was open a door for which I had the key - the
armory. Game over, go back to my last save game from 3 hours ago.
Awful. How hard would it have been Bethesda to say back up your last
5 save games if you were going to update the savegame for just walking
into and leaving any house. This sucks! You would think we were still
designing games in the 80s with this archaic logic.

you have as many save game slots as you want, as well as a quicksave
slot (and the autosave slot). I personally use quicksave and rotate
manual saves between three slots, which may sound like a lot of
maintenance, but only takes a second to do. Are you not aware of how
saving a game works?

yeah you really should use at least one other save slot, every time you walk
through a door (zone door) or travel to a different zone it will autosave.
Sucks when 8 Talon gangers are waiting for you as soon as get there and go
all pinata on your ass... Between my 3 characters i have about 50 saves...
dont ask..

Its not a design flaw though, the autosave is there purely as a backup save
for when:
1. you forget to save
2. your cpu crashes
3. your girlfriend yanks the powercable pointing out "you spend more time
with that game than me...
whats so special about it anyway". Then you giggle "Did you say
S.P.E.C.I.A.L?"
