I have reinstalled Oblivion KOTN & SI. I had also saved my old saved games, but when I load an old saved game with the new install, I get a message telling me that some items may not be available with the old saved game. I have loaded the new install with the same half dozen or so mods I use, so I am not sure I understand why the old save would prompt this message. Would the Oblivion Mod Manager that I read about solve this problem or could I use the old save with no issue? Does the Mod Manager get saved and run from the Oblivion\Data file like the mods do?
