Hi,I bought Riviera: The Promised Land catridge and I can save for
about 5 days. After that, suddently my save game becomes corrupt and I
try to play again and I can save but when I turn the GBA off,the save
data will be corrupt once again. So I opened the catridge, and I see
that the battery is rusted. So how can I change the battery? Cause
buying a new one will be a waste of money. Where can I buy the
battery? Is it a normal watch battery?? Or a normal mother-board(PC)
battery??? I bought this catridge from a shop. and I don't know if this
a fake catridge or not..I need help repairing this thing..thank you for
your help! >> Stay informed about: Save problem, maybe it's the battery?? |

Yes, it is a GBA game. Looking inside my copy, I find no battery at all.
Take what you can from that. Look closly at your battery and see if
there are any id numbers on it, and see if you can find a watch battery
the same. >> Stay informed about: Save problem, maybe it's the battery?? |

GBA games pretty much never come with batteries anymore - they use
flash memory for the saves. Odds are that its impossible to repair.
Where did you buy the game at? If it was eBay or something like a
flea market, odds are very good that you have a fake cartridge, in
which case you're pretty much screwed. If you bought it from a
reputable merchant, your best bet would be to take it back and get an
exchange, or contact the game's publisher. >> Stay informed about: Save problem, maybe it's the battery?? |
