Post subject: Save game angst! Where is my most recent save?

I'm playing the Xbox360 version of Oblivion. The problem I have is the
list of save games are not sorted in date order - they appear to be all
jumbled up. So if I am looking for my most recent save I need to scroll
down the list and find the save with the highest save game number. This
is obviously very annoying.
Also, if I load the game and select the "Continue" option from the title
screen, this *should* load my most recent save. However it loads the
save at the top of my save game list, which is not necessarily the most
recent save.
Does anyone else have this problem? Does the problem exist on the PC
version? |

Hmmm the most recently saved game is on the top of the list on my copy.

I know what your problem is. You need to make sure that your date and
time is set properly in the console settings. I ran into this problem
becuase I had to send my xbox in for repair, and when I got it back, I
didn't setup the date and time, and all my games were showing up in the
wrong order for a while.

Happens every time with new consoles though, my original day one PS2 still
works fine despite the many that needed repairs for not being able to read
discs. There are always some defective consoles in the first batch but many
more that are perfectly fine. But of course naysayers will jump all over
the defective ones even if the percentage is in the normal range for a

Thanks - this sounds plausible and I actually thought of this myself but
haven't had a chance to check it yet. I've only had the console for a
week and I'm sure that I set up the date and time properly, but I'll

Just checked it and my time/date was wrong after all. When I fixed this

Oblivion save files - Where do the save files go? I want to keep them, but try another character, so i want to move the saves to a new folder, like i did in Morrowind.
Oblivion: Naming the Save Files - Is there any way to do this? I'd like to put in my own memory jog such as: "Just before going into the cave", "Leveling up" ,etc. It doesn't seem possible however. Game still CTD every 15 minutes or so, but at least I'm out... |
