I had the X35 combo and loved it. I now have the X52 and like that too, with
2 exceptions: (1) joystick tension is not as "good" as for the X35 (feels a
bit vague) and (2), I much preferred the rocker on the throttle for rudder
control - the new twist grip style control is a step backwards IMHO.
On the plus side, I find it a lot easier to set up to the X35 (can't comment
on the X45) and I used to have loads of problems with the "pass through"
keyboard connection, which the USB set up resolves nicely.
I haven't tried converting any profiles as it was as easy to start from
scratch in my case.
