Well we have to at least give the folks at SOE a round of applause for
returning the cost of the last expansion as they have now ruined our game.
I thought it was a nice gesture.

If they make the game free I would still not play it again. I feel like I
have wasted a lot of time building my toon just so they could nerf me out of
the game (my prof is gone now) and so I am off to better games.

Goodbye and good luck to all my old friends on SWG, it was fun at times but
usually frustrating. And ty to SOE for giving my money back and NTY for
tearing up my game.

Don't look at it as wasted time. I am sure you have some good times in
the doing so reflect on that and try to avoid the pitfall of missing
that which you have yet to receive. Namely the future good times.

Remember, Nothing is forever. If mountains can erode away to sandy
beaches then this game will definatly fall by the wayside to the next
game to come along. Each will offer interest and entertainment only up
to the point where it is not entertaining anymore.... then it too will
become like that sandy, deserted beach and you will move along to find
the next mountain to climb.

So much for my Zen moment fo the month!

Now, Screw SOE! <GRIN>

I played Jedi and Spy on test center.l

It is too buggy to consider playing now, for example, the first thing you
will be greeted with on your initial respec is an inventory overload (The
forums advised not respeccing until they have sorted this out and there is
no eta) and you don't get any respec items.

Officer is what I respecced to and it was completely broken: grenades are
centred on the player again, as is artillery strikes. Group buffs only
affect the officer and none of the group. First thing I did was right click
on a bank terminal and I started attacking it. It kept on snaring me
somehow - but, like everything else at the moment that is broken and
inneffective. No matter what I couldn't exit my life and death struggle with
the bank terminal and due to this I couldn't log out - I had to /quit.

Logged back in and it seems I no longer have a safety deposit box.

All the terminals are terminally laggy and the Bazaar interface is bugged
(close a sub window and lose the lot). The entire world mechanics are
screwed as even things like the population if items in your immediate area
cannot keep up to the new movement rate. Try running up to a bank terminal
from a distance and see how long you have to wait for it to pop.

I hear other classes are equally screwed: healing puts you in combat mode
which you can't escape from so people can't heal. Jedi have no inate armour
and are getting pwned mercilessly. Stealth doesn't work.

This game is meant to be <<in production>> and I have played Alphas in
better shape. Maybe this is the reason other dev teams aren't reinventing
core game mechanics every six months perhaps?

They have no say on the matter if your card issuer determines there is a
case for a reversal.

I think that's the same mistake I made originally. I use the Polearm Saber,
so I had Polearm Thrown selected. However, some of the specials in Jedi,
especially early ones are given due to not having a lightsaber until Level
20-30 or so.

One Handed Throw - Throw a 1H Melee Weapon - Curved Sword
2H Throw - Powerhammer
Polearm throw - a Nightsister Lance

Saber Throw throws sabers.

Thanks

I know, I was having more fun last night on my smuggler. Until I get the
new specials learned, etc, I'm not planning on doing any heavy grinding, but
I've found that Ovos (my Jedi) can be effective against melee, Ranged is a
major problem right now though. I'm waiting for the respec items to be
offered before I start grinding so I don't risk losing any progress I make.

They're supposed to be adding Armor to Jedi Robes with the next publish.
Not that I think it's absolutely necessary, but it will certainly be nice.

Thanks
