The Demo (NPE for New Player Experience) is only designed to get people up
to Level 10. It shouldn't have reset you to level 1 though. It is very
easy, if you do all of the quests, or almost all of the quests up there.
That Station/Space zone by the way are also the Tutorial Region for any new
characters made by an existing account that chooses to go through the
tutorial. I think a paid account has to go through it once, and then the
acct is set to allow you to skip it if you'd like.
All the client crashes may be an artifact of the demo, I've been through the
Tutorial with probably 4 characters between TC & Lowca and never crashed in
there. (Yes, I know the Stations very well by now).
Back to the getting to the planet. I believe after you reach level 10 or
your time is up you're given the option to register for a full account and
land in Mos Eisley. The default way to get to Mos Eisley in the Tutorial by
the way is to talk to Han and tell him you're ready to leave the station.
Maybe that's just not a dialogue option you have in the Tutorial. You may
want to try talking to Han though and see.
Finally, as someone else pointed out, Housing maintenance has been turned
off since the 1st or 2nd week of September "for Hurricane Relief" and
they've not turned it back on yet. They also seem to have changed their
mind on removing housing for accounts that are cancelled. (Drat!) because
they fear it wouldn't be fair to those who have cancelled. [I guess they're
still clinging to the hope that everyone will come back when they get the
game 'fixed'.]
