Excellent and addictive! The VecVox is becoming a must rather than just
a curiosity. Your game stays really true to the spirit of the vectrex
as opposed to making it look younger than it actually is. The spinning
star field is lovely Wink

Will you have a special box made and fancy printed instruction booklet
+ overlay? Wink I think that is the norm now.

Probably not. Since I've been so busy as of late I am going
to have to pre-build these and not to individual order like
I used to.

I played the game again last night for about an hour. I think the there is
a notable increase in difficulty between the first phase (of 4 stages) and
the second phase. The game is brilliant .. I've not noticed if the alien
remarks differently if you play better or worse. I seem to have been
defeated at the same place each time anyway .. here are a couple suggestions:

1. Can the alien remark differently the better or worse you do?
2. Can he go 'ha ha ha' too? I love aliens that go 'ha ha ha' to taunt me.
3. What if the docks were moving around? That would make it more challenging
to dock.
4. Could the star field rotate alternately? variable speed? As it is, it
makes the game very exciting.

I like the aspects of mine storm in the game.. thank you for your work.. I'll
be sure to order it as well as some other titles of yours I'm missing.

He changes his comments every two stages that you complete.

Yeahhhh ... Thought about that after I wrote the docking code.

If you like the idea, its worth the wait. Considering the amount of
releases this year, there certainly is no dry spell. Honestly when I
first saw the docking stage I thought it felt undeveloped .. perhaps it
could be made more exciting with the docks roating around the ship .. you
already have a liberal timer (which credits remaining time to score, right?)
It could be much more challenging that way.

I think that is what makes it challenging though .. otherwise it might
seem too easy. And if the spinning stars make you dizzy, then you can
take the fun out of them by just turning the dimmer down a bit (on mine
I can totally eliminate the star field that way). I suppose you could make
them spin up and down back and forth or maybe slowly pulse .. Seriously,
these last two items above I think would make the game even more fun and
exciting. You know when you get that adrenalin rush going? I got it with
your game.

This game is seriously worthy of an overlay and box, but I know you have
limited time. If you did do an LE version it would sell out for sure.
Nonetheless, I'll put in my order.

The game is based on Space Fury from Sega, the docking feature is the
same. If you have Mame try it and you will see the vectrex version
matches his arcade brother. Which is quite cool, i think (Arcade at home).

The star movement is different on the arcade orginal, the stars move and
dissapear, and reappear. Pretty cool.

Very nice game, congrats John.

Games connecting vectrex - Hey, I remember hearing about a project that was being worked on where there was a connector on the cartridge that allowed you to connect a cable to another cartridge and it allowed you to play against somebody else. I think the game being worked on....

vectrex repair - I have a vectrex unit that I've had since I was a kid. The display shows dots with broken lines on minestorm and any inserted cartridge. I've tried to resolder the 4 pin connector as mentioned by somepeople on this site, no luck. I'm amazed by the depth...
