xfer to new computer - I am over half way through HL2 and got a new comp. Which files can I copy over to the new one to continue playing so I don't have to start over? Thanks

Half-Life 2 Deathmatch and firewall - I use Zonealarm as my firewall. I can play HALF-LIFE 2 with it turned on. But the other night, for the first time, I tried running the dedicated server over the Internet, via Steam, so that some buddies could join in on a game. I could see the server

upgrading graphics card - Currently have an ati 9000 radeon. Have now bought a 9600 pro. Do i have to uninstall the original card first?

Do games have to be especially written to utilise SLi?

Does HL2 look any better on an Sli 'puter?

SLi doesn't directly improve graphics, just framerates (Although I
guess, in theory, you can run higher detail settings such as FSAA and
AF).. HL2 apparently gets roughly a 25% increase in framerates.. not
nearly enough to justify the massive extra cost of 2 PCI-e graphics
cards IMHO... if you are going to spend that sort of money, you may
aswell buy a lone ATI X1900 XT with all the trimmings Smile

no, the drivers do the work. LOOK better? It speeds up the rendering
process enough to allow you to turn on more eyecandy in the game and still
play it with higher framerates.
