I don't think there's a separate SKU for the BenQ units, it's more
luck of the draw. The only thing you can ID from the box is the
motherboard revision. Even then it's not a separate SKU, it's a marker
on the serial number sticker.

Do you know of any retail store that has a no questions asked return policy
on new systems? I don't want to get stuck with another loud disc drive and I
am already going to take a loss when I sell my other unit to get a new one.

I think all the 360 lines these days come with a BenQ, but just in
case, AFAIK, Best Buy and Walmart has no questions asked return policy
if it's done within 15 days, I believe. Could be as long as 30 days,
but don't quote me on that.

Thanks.
I'll give Wal-Mart. BB in my area isn't even as forgiven as CCity. They gave
me a hard time for returning a defective LCD.

Wal-Mart . I've taken my first 360 back when I was strapped for cash.

You probably already know to keep the box and all of the materials
looking fresh, all they'll ask is 'anything wrong with it'. Tell them
whatever you wish, I just told them 'NO' and they didnt ask anymore
questions. If they ask more questions ,tell em you don't like it or you
bought it for a nephew who wants a PS3 instead.
I've also returned both a Gamecube and a PS2 with no problems.

As long as the box is in good condtion and it looks like its still new ,
you will be able to return it.
