Hello all,
I recently bought a SF rush (alcatraz edition) board and hard drive on
ebay. Did not purchase the sound board or driver board for the force
feed back steering. I assumed that the game would boot without
these. I wanted to confirm this. Anyone have experience?

The game boots but locks up with POST led's flashing - nothing ever
appears on the screen. I am using known good power supply and
monitor. The seller said that the board / hard drive was tested and
working. Is my problem the lack of having these sub boards?

thanks for any replys,
Jim

If I remember correctly, the main board does communicate with those
two boards.

When powered up the main board will first check all the controls
(including force feedback steering). The screen will say "steering not
responding - hit abort to continue". Push the abort button and in a
minute the game will come up.

All my cabs use a standard monitor. If this game requires a medium
res - can I stick a PC monitor in there?
