Well it's actually been over a month since my last session, but I'm
supposed to be having one this sunday again, and I updated the long
winded blog at:

justisaur-sc.blogspot.com

4th Session:

Jax (spellthief) died to a crit on the first round from the ogre
(polymorphed otyugh, which I changed to just an ogre) in the Malachite
Fortress. The party was a bit spread out from fighting the crystal,
and Jax was about as close as a couple other party members when it came
out, and he hit it for more damage than anyone else (high inititive can
be a problem for lower hp classes sometimes). Rookwood (Totemist) thier
only front-liner rolled low on initiative, so he couldn't engage it in
melee in time. I think it was around 38 or so points of damage.

5th Session

Player of Jax had made a new character a Ninja instead of getting his
spellthief reincarnated. He couldn't make the game though, so no
trapbusters/secret door finders, the Rookwood the Dwarven Totemist
started taking 20's for finding secret doors, really slowing the party
down.

They had no problems with anything else until the slavemaster himself.
All the hobgoblins etc. were rediculously easy for a 3rd lv party. I
actually had them set up an ambush/bulwarks in the same room the
crystal was in, ready for the party, 8 of them, after the PCs left
again, to make it seem less static. I don't think they lasted 2
rounds.

The lemures & the slavemaster were both long fights due to DR in the
case of the lemures. no more time now, so will update the rest of
session 5 later.

The party won both those fights without casualties though. They
retreated to the surface and spent two more days making scrolls. So I
decided to insert the web enhancement bit dealing with the Stormblades,
the rival adventuring group. I had the Stormblades free the remaining
slaves, and collaps the tunnles, along with the keyshop (by accident).

I felt this was a good call, to have some consequences to the party
dilly-dallying around while there are enslaved people needing help. I
also felt it really added to the sense this was not just a static
dungeon, or adventure that would wait around for them.

The PCs and the Stormblades had investigated each other, and basically
they met, I had one of the stormblades insult Rookwood, who took it
outside of the tavern, and when he couldn't hit rookwood, basically the
Stormblades broke up due to embarrasment. I felt I could have handled
it better, but I have plans to bring the Stormblades back at a later
point, or perhaps just thier leader as a villain with a grudge against
Rookwood, perhaps just making thier life more difficult.
