Anyone happened to know whether SC2 would support custom maps just like
the old one?

Would it be possible to launch SC from within SC2 using a consolidated
interface? 'Wink

How about following the act of Valve, who released Half-Life:Source that
upgrades the old Half Life to use the new Source engine? Smile

Yes, and supposedly the map editor won't have locked down features
like the original SC one, but everything the developers are using will
supposedly be at your disposal too.

Err, as in a SC mod/map for SC2? Probably technically possible I
suppose, since I seem to recall them mentioning adding most(/all?) old
units for custom map usage in the editor.

Mind you though that even if you'd get the same units with the same
stats, it probably won't play like the original at all due to the
engine and Ui differencies between the two games.
