Is it just me or is SimCity dying? There is relatively low activity on this
newsgroup, no word whatsoever as to whether Maxis is even THINIKING of
making a new SimCity, and for some gad damn reason, my railway bridges over
water dont seem to work.
As new (or should i say old now?) as SC4 is, i have realised that it really
is quite limited, and though the Rush Hour expansion pack did bring more
excitement into the game, it is still all relatively the same thing.
Graphically, as up to todays standards, SC4 is behind - only 4 sided camera
views???!!!! Now i know that at the time of release it was to die for. But a
new SimCity is long overdue, and personally i am getting bored of the game
as it is.
Things with the AI could be done as well. Only recently i have found that
backing out of my driveway at home is a hastle, because the traffic on the
main roads is bad and people use residential streets to save time. But
nothing like that in SC, no matter what my sims always stick to the sam
roads.
We have people advertising Ink on this newsgroup for crying out loud! Yep,
thats how exciting SimCity is folks, we are more interested in printers than
playing the game, and the game is getting so old now that newcommers dont
have any problems to post to this newsgroup - unless it is a problem getting
SC off your computer. >> Stay informed about: SC comment |

I think SC4 is great. Hell of resource hog tho. I read that Maxis were going
back to the drawing board to totally retool Simcity 5 so it wouldn't be so
resource-intensive. It was also be completely different.
I still play it very very frequently...but it is starting to get a little
boring, yea.

Those Maxis people must be up to something - they haven't added
anything to the SC4 website for nearly 18 months.
