Maybe this is enough?

Well. I just accidentally converted the altar in Dwarftown. Ruun went
hostile
as expected, however everyone else did not become hostile. It seemed
that
as long as I didn't fight back the dwarves would not get pissed. So
I've got a
hostile Ruun following me as I talk to Thrundarr and get the quest to
kill the
daemon. It gets summoned next to me which is nice. And then the
daemon
breathes fire on me and Ruun. Ruun panics so I'm thinking maybe this
will be
advantageous so I lure the daemon around so it ends up toasting Ruun
with
his fire breath. So this has just happened and there has been no Ghost-
Ruun
coming after me yet. Does this happen immediately or in like, several
several
more turns?

Has anyone tried this before?

Something like that happened to me yesterday. My chaotic human
necromancer was trying to get right with Istaria by offering one piece
of gold at a time. I typoed, sacced ALL my gold, converted the altar,
pissed Ruun off, and managed to ditch him one level up. The rest of
Dwarftown didn't become hostile. What's funny is later I came back as
a crowned neutral and accidentally killed Ruun. Equipment turned to
dust. No alignment drop. Didn't fall from champion status. Weird, huh?

(Oh, and yeah. The rest of the Dwarftown became hostile after that.)
