Well, it is one of the most advanced cultures in the world, concerning
ethics...
and it has of course its flaws as well.

That's why it was simple to play and fun... Medieval complicated things a
bit.

Well... I cannot argue on that, as I have not played through more that 4-5

And another quick one... does the expansion alter the original game at all?
Can you play RTW after having installed the expansion?

I agree completely... OTOH, C3 had better graphics, more intense missions
and an element of surprise.
Including the great D-Day landing... I wish there was a piece of that in
CSF.

Well, the splash effects or ripple effects were there to indicate that noise
was also a crucial factor to succeed in a mission.
Less noise you make, less chance of being overheard by the guards or enemies
in general. BCD does not have such effects, but added more of a stealth
approach, as in BCD you are able to control the Germans as well, something
that was abandonned in C2 and C3. That's why every game is unique on its
own. There are elements different in every one of them.

Well, that one will have a bit of both strategy and first person shooter
elements in it.
So far, it looks good and promising.
Certainly we'll write something about it, when it is released. Also we
expect an increase in new fans as well.

You can play either RTW or the expansion, so it doesn't alter the game
that way.
But, you lose the ability to play your saved games in RTW because it
updates RTW to 1.3. So you can play only new games from then.

Also, the map in BI has fewer cities than RTW. I find that this works
well, but that also means that you have to sort of relearn the map to
know where the cities are. That means sending out more spies

Well......I have been trying out Medieval and I agree Phoenix, those pop ups
do get annoying after awhile. I also found that having to many different
units makes keeping track of the content of my armies a little more
difficult over Shogun. However, playing more....it is getting easier. Good
game though.

I am asking because in MTW, unfortunately, that happened indeed after the
installation of the expansion.

Well... since I have played only one campaign and not really gone through
into it (mostly I did some arranged battle scenarios here and there with the
custom battle feature), that will not affect my gameplay. Besides... I have
too few saved games as of now. So... I'll also give the expansion a chance.
