Hehe yeah that one's nasty, thought I could solo it easily with my 70
warlock so my shaman (other account) could complete it... very nearly
wiped

I've always got the PvP trinket in one slot and I use Trinket Menu to
set up a trinket queue on the other slot. My Hemo macro has a /use 13
in it so that it uses that trinket whenever it is up. As soon as I
leave combat trinket menu swaps the trinket for the next one. That
way I'll use a +AP on use trinket almost every fight. It works very
well as I have about 4 +AP on use trinkets just from quest rewards.
The only problem that I have with it is when I have the frost wolf
trinket equiped it tries to use it so I start casting that instead of
hitting with hemo. The current workaround is to keep moving all the
time even when the target is stunned. It would be good if the
equipped conditional could be used to check for specific items being
equipped.

It could work. I'll have to give it a try. I might not have enough
space in my macro for that though as it has some other fluff before
and after hemo to stop error messages and sounds and to make sure that
I have the correct weapon equipped after I've Ambushed.

What are you talking about? Slow offhand? As a rogue you want the slowest
wepon possible in main hand and have and fastest possible in offhand, always
have poisons active on both weapons. You want fast offhand for better poison
application and slow main hand for max SS/hemo dmg. >> Stay informed about: Rogue at level 57 --outland next |

I call my trinket by name rather than by slot, what would happen if you
set up a macro that called all your trinkets by name all the time, would
it only cast the equipped one without erroring out?
Something like
/use Bladefist's Breadth
/use <a.n. other tinket 1>
/use <a.n. other tinket 2>
/cast Hemo
etc...
I currently use a similar macro to cast the following on my troll shaman
#showtooltip Stormstrike
/cast Berserking(Racial)
/use Bladefist's Breadth
/cast Stormstrike
Which casts any or all of the above in one click depending on their
cooldowns.

Right now I have 2.6 main hand and 1.6 in offhand.
I stated yesterday that looking for swords is getting to be beyond BS
I looked again last night and 0 swords from 50 to 60 level.
1 61 level sword...it was off the bandit and 2.6 speed.
Just like the level 60 of the bandit 2.6 speed sword I have
now...whoopie NOT
I know you said the fastest offhand weapon, I would love to find a
sword that was superfast and usable in offhand but right now I can't
be a chooser.
first thing in ol is try and get a Shadowrend Longblade. 2.6 speed.
I guess the hh rep sword is the next best thing.
but if I find a 1.8 or 2.0 sword can this be used oh of too slow?
10/41 Combat sword right now

If I had to choose, I think I'd rather use a 1.4 dagger (giving up the
offhand procs from sword spec) than a 2.0 sword (giving up 1/3 of my
combat potency procs).
You'll probably have trouble finding a decent offhand sword while
leveling, I know I did. I'd start keeping an eye out for a cheap
Crystalblade of the Draenai in the auction house. That way you'll at
least have a decent off hander once you hit level 66 (even if it does
have tanking stats <g>). That will last you till you get to lvl 70
and a few hours of BGs for a quickblade.

I believe you can call items by their item ID number - check the item on
wowhead or whatever and that number it's referred to as in the url is
the number that refers to the item ingame. Should save a little space in
the macro!

They should be fine as a temporary thing; faster is better but it's not
that bad. There's a fairly fast sword as a quest reward in Terokkar if I
remember rightly, Extra Sharp Blade (sigh was going to copy paste the
link but seems my computer caught some bug and keeps inserting some
other url into my clipboard, time for some investigation I guess...
would help if googling it produced any useful results), and more fast
ones in Blades Edge and netherstorm. At higher level it's harder but
there's a fast blue sword in Black Morass, one in Botanica and another
from Shattered Sun rep and even epic ones in heroic Magisters Terrace
and Zul Aman. Much better now than when my rogue was active and just had
to use a dagger in offhand!

My guess would be that it's one of the ad's on WoWhead's site that's
doing it. It's only happened to me once though, and fairly recently
at that. It was on my old computer at my parents when I went to look
at wowheads WotLK talent calculator. The problem went away when I'd
closed all my firefox windows, so at a guess it's not actually saving
itself on the hard disk or anything like that, so in that regard is
seems relatively benign. Of course, if you actually *followed* the
link it makes you paste, all bet's are off. I put the URL it wanted
me to paste into google, and asked to look at it's translated version
of the page and the google page came up with warnings saying the
website was dodgy and could do stuff to your computer and were you
*sure* you wanted to go there? I declined to take a closer look. ; )
