The legendary film director Robert Altman was also Chairman and CEO of
ZeniMax, the parent company of Bethesda Softworks. Altman was a
fiercely independent character (and also very wealthy), and no doubt
has been largely responsible for Bethesda's continued independence
from game-developer acquisition parasites like EA. Let us hope that
the management team at Zenimax continues Mr. Altman's vision in
nurturing the independence and innovation of the creative geniuses at
Bethesda Softworks and not begin to seek the quick-turn fast
buck............
