Good news everyone, thanks to my well placed contacts I have managed to
get a early scoop on a stunning press release by 3DRealms!
This is stunning to say the least, this company will be at the heart of
a revolution in wargaming and FPS's!
Ok, first things first, Duke Nukem Forever as we knew it it's gone, it
wasn't original enough for them, in it's place we will have...

Road to Duke!

Think of it as the fusion of Duke Nukem Forever and Road to Moscow. You
see, the lads at 3Drealms discovered a beta of that wargame and had a
brainstorm session wich led them to a revelation that will shake the
very foundations of PC gaming.
Shooting alien invaders can be fun for a while but is rather limited,
and it's hard to get the feel of a epic battle for earth.
You can try to make a wargame instead, that will allow the player to
lead earth's forces against the alien menace and watch the battle
unfold across the globe.
And that was the choice of 3DRealms, to enable you to control the human
forces as they struggle to free their beloved hero, Duke Nukem, from
the sinister aliens.
But this won't be just a wargame, you will control the battle not with
icons or menus, but with the new stunning "timeline sculptor"
technology!
Imagine being able to zoom from a global map down to a firefight on the
ground, and taking over a character at any moment.
Now make a choice,do something, anything, and track the consequences of
your actions as the battle unfolds. Not satisfied? Jump to another
character at another point in the timeline and do something else.
And you can do anything, take over a soldier and shoot that enemy
trooper, causing panic among the enemy in a critical sector, take over
a general and write a different set of orders.
Enter the HQ, now nudge a marker to a different position in a map, and
watch as the AI controlled officers change their plans!
Be a cook, a few changes in the menu will change the mood and the
behavior of the human defenders on a critical day!
There are no limits, the possibilities are endless!

Road to Duke, coming to your PC... when it's done!
