I'm afraid your advice is not totally sound. I've followed your directions exactly, except Zork only plays the MIDI, not the CD Audio. I've run the accompanying program to the main exe, cdplay.exe. cdplay.exe plays the cd music fine through dosbox, but it still doesn't happen in the game. Now, cdplay.exe's got a function which tests the drivers. The drivers fail the 3rd of 3 tests. Says the following:
Driver fails audio status (Stopped) test
Timecode should be 0's
Track 2, Minutes 0, Seconds 1, Frame 72
The current CD-ROM driver does not match the Microsoft CD-ROM Extensions standard V2.1 or greater.
Please refer to the supplied documentation.
I don't suppose this has anything to do with my problem?
