I know this has been discussed (a lot), but it seems I'm missing something.
I deleted Pleasantview, the whole folder, and when I fired up the game,
surprise! Pleasantview wasn't there anymore. Obviously I did something
wrong. Do I have to delete all the neighbourhoods before the game will
regenerate a new Pleasantview? Or can I delete only one and have it
regenerated? If so, how?
Thanks,

You can copy and paste from the one in program files, but the easiest thing
to do is to remove the neighborhoods folder in My
Documents/EAGames/TheSims2. If there are neighborhoods in there you want to
save, put that folder somewhere safe, otherwise delete it. Run the game and
the folder and all the Maxis neighborhoods will regenerate.
You can then replace your played versions of the other neighborhoods. For
example, delete the unplayed Strangetown, N002, and put in the old N002
file.

You need to delete the whole Neighborhoods folder. Make sure to back up your
custom neighborhoods first!
Cheers!
