Post subject: Restore Region
Archived from groups: alt>games>simcity (more info?)
Help! I deleted a whole region instead of a city. Is there any way to get it
back without reinstalling? The folder is still present in the game
directory.

Yep. The newcity.sc4 files are present.

Did you create anything over your original city? Sounds like you cant
recover your creation, since the game wrote over the originals. Although its
annoying I usually find after a weekends recovery work the new city is a lot
better than the deleted one, since I learnt from past planning mistakes.
