A friend told me that that there is a way to "dump" all of my GBA games to
one cartridge. Is this true? What sort of equipment would I need? Is it
legal? I don't want to do anything dodgy - I just like the idea of only
having to carry around one cart instead of loads.

I've tried to search, but, to be honest, I haven't a clue where to start.
Any links or pointers will be greatly appreciated.

Flash linker. Wouldn't have thought it was legal to use even with your
official games tho'.

I suspect it isn't legal, and the machines to do it would cost a fortune,
many hundreds, maybe even thousands of pounds. The only people that have the
really are pirates in Hong Kong who run off tens of thousands of carts and
sell them on eBay disguised as the real thing. The best, and cheapest way to
do it would be to get yourself a v1.50 PSP and download the games you own.
Not entirely legal, but not illegal enough for you to feel guilty. Downside
is they're a bit big and not good on battery.

You can a 128MB flash cart for about £40 these days, I think.

I always meant to get hold of one, but never got around to it. I was
already worried about save games not working properly.

Try "flash linker uk" in Google. Dunno if any of the sites returned are
trustworthy, though.

Search on flash linker, take your pick. £60 is probably more accurate
too, the £90 was just the first I looked at.

Yeah, that was just the price on the first I saw. I was thinking of it
too at one point, but for the few games I have it's not worth it really.

Blimey, £25 for 128MB.

I've got fifty odd GBA games so it'd be useful, but I'd need a big, big
card. And, as I say, I'm worried about save games.

There's at least one that takes SD cards which solves the sizing
problem. Agree on the saves though, and certainly some of the cheaper
flash carts sound dodgy as hell from the reviews.

It IS legal if you use it for this purpose. These devices are commonly
known as 'GBA Game Backup' or 'GBA Game Development' devices, i.e.
primarily used for backing up games or for developing your own.

There are several flash linkers out there now, I think the XG Flash card
is supposed to be the best out there now, I could be wrong though.

Each of your GBA games varies in size from 32Mbit to 256Mbit (or
possibly more), so if you get a card, make sure to get one that is
substantially larger than 256Mbit.

How come a lot of GBA roms are substantially smaller than 10MB then?
