I have a Radeon 9600 Pro card which is reasonable as long as I turn off
a lot of effects (shadows, grass stuff etc..) and play at 800 x 600. It
does get quite sluggish and jerky during combat when things are "busy",
i.e. lots of characters in action. Moving from indoors to out can be
painful also with respect to load times but then I only have 512Meg of
ram so I guess more of that would help. I'd love to run this game with
all the sliders to the right but in the meantime I am still having a
hell of a lot of fun
Google for Oblivion optimising guides, there are a lot of useful tips
out there.
