RROD Question

Hello all,
I have been one of the lucky ones that has one of the first line of
360's and not had to deal with the RROD ( knock on wood ) but I
constantly see posts about it. Although it seems the problem is getting
better.

My questions is this...

For those of you who have gotten the RROD or have known someone who
got it, were any of you / them using any external cooling fans or any
other form of additional cooling devices...?

The reason why I ask is because the most popular reason of why this
is happening seems to be because of excessive heat warping the
motherboard which eventually weakens the solder joints...

I just got the RROD on my launch unit. I have never used any additional
coolers. Ran almost two years with no problems, I turn it on the other day
and instantly...3 reds.
