I recently purchased RCT2/WW to satisfy my creative urge. The game
ran fine until I decided to create a custom "sandbox" scenario
(254x254 5000 guests).

Now every time I try to play the scenario I get the dreaded "exception
error" message. I tried to load the offical patch, no help. I tried
to install the Drexler patch, it says "no cd key available" (or
something like that).

So I uninstalled the game and re-installed. No good. Tried Drexler
again, same message. My computer is a high end rig with more speed
and memory than the game could possibly need.

Any ideas?

For RCT2 you do not need the Drexler Patch. that is only for RCT1.

Second, did you happen to download any custom scenery? if you did, its
very possable that one of your dat files is corrupt.

I completely reloaded the game so I don't think it can be a corrupted
file.

I downloaded the Son of Beast trainer at one point (looking for a
sandbox mode) and opened it once for 60 seconds, but I haven't touched
it since reloading.

It's driving me nuts because I spent three nights designing the park
for the scenario. There's nothing as maddening as software that
doesn't work as advertised.

Any ideas? Is there an official patch for RCT2? Besides the pink
water one?

I had the same error with RCT1, although I didn't use a custom scenario, and
have set the compatability mode to Windows 98/ME and that worked.
