Well good for you. Wait for the reckoning when you realize that you are
a beginner.

That may be the case (though I doubt it), but I think entirely wiping out

US servers then. Just as well, if i noticed anyone taking over a character I
knew on any server I play on I'd report it immediately. If someone wants a

Not my guild. Apparently he originally bought it for the premade characters
and having sampled the 3 or 4 lvl 40+ characters decided to stick with his
warrior as his main. They decided to use the bought account for the bank so
that guild officers could also access the account without needing to know
his password. He has quit the game, and there's no point in rifling the bank
toons if he's going to quit the game, eh?

I basically agree with you, but do note that there are some lowbie class-
specific quests that you'd miss by not leveling the toon. I'm mostly
familiar with the warlock ones, where there's a lot. Mage, druid, pally and
rogue have a few. Not so much on priest.

Your single anecdotal experience does not make a very good case for
your claim of "bullshit".

You're basing your claims on an extremely tiny slice of the WoW player
population. How many WoW players are there? A year ago it was 4
million, and it's fair to say that the population has only grown in
the meantime. How many of those 4 million + do you know? Hint:
probably only a small fraction of a percent.

'Anecdotal' describes your knowledge perfectly.

No, it's more like buying the team so you can install yourself as
quarterback for the Superbowl.

Still, we all need a good laugh, so don't let that stop you !

of course you are right. this leads to the knowledge
that only blizzard knows how many sold accounts
were closed in the past.

and it's up to us to believe it or not. and as
I wrote: I don't believe their statements.

And what I can say is the following:

There is at least one bought account that
is still operational after one year Smile

I don't doubt that in the least. Probably hundreds of such cases.
Blizzard faces the same numbers you do - it almost impossible to fully
police a subscriber base in excess of four million.
