Do paws count as a single weapon or dualwield for misschance purposes?
Ie how much hit should I be stacking when I hit a level where I can get
hold of hit gear?

Paws count as a single weapon, druids don't get the dualwield penalty.

You should be aiming for around 126 or so hit rating.

the actual cap is 142 hitrating for druids against raidbosses. but 126
should be preferred anyway (maybe less) depending on draenei-aura's,
availability of improved faery fire maybe.

druids are a little different than hunters for example, that have the same
cap.
hit is just not that important, if not capped 20 agi food still is better
than 20 hit food.

in general even though 142 is the cap, its not recommended to go that far
because you will be overcapped on trash anyway.

Great, thanks for that, just what I needed Smile And yeah I was thinking
pve, my poor druid was having no end of trouble with mobs 3-4 lvls
higher last night (I wasn't actually intending to go for ones that much
higher than myself, stupid quest was mislabelled as being 3 lvls lower
than the mobs involved and I figured since I was there I may as well
finish it) , miss miss miss got pretty annoying! Glad it's not the
dualwield rate, it's much easier to get to the single weapon hit cap.

Mark, you seem to know what your're talking about... what is the optimal hit
rating for my combat rogue?
I can currently get ~190 if I equip Romulo's Poison Vial, but I don't think
that's enough...

the hitcap for rogues is by far higher and very much desireable for rogues
hitcap is about ~360. our rogues -I think- prefer hitfood to agility-food.

i cant tell u anymore than this because i'm not an expert.
dont know how you balance with hit with damage during advancement of you
rogue (say from karazhan to sunwell) but i would assume a healthy mix along
the way.

Combat rogues have a much higher hit cap, around 360. This is because a
lot of your dps comes from your offhand attacks proccing Combat Potency,
and offhand attacks have a much higher miss rate.

However, don't gimp your Attack Power or Crit Rating just to get more hit.
Try for a balance.
