Old news maybe, but news anyway, at least to me. A Ben Glover
has ported E1M2, E1M3, E1M4, E1M8, E1M9 and E4M3 to Quake 2.

The textures are all grainy, supposedly because of the
conversion to Quake 2 palette with dithering on. Other than
that, the port is very good and enjoyable.

It's not a straight conversion. The biggest change is the
substitution of a detour through E4M3 for the labyrinth in E1M4.

You do see a bit of E1M1 after killing the boss.

Recommended.
