Quake4 == Quake2 with better graphics. Not good enough for 2006. Many other
games have more innovative gameplay.

Which is exactly what I - being a huge fan of Quake 2's style and
atmosphere right down
to this day - was after. *grin*

There's something to be said for the simple approach, though - it's just
*fun* charging around blowing away everything in your path. Witness the
Serious Sam games. <g>
