Post subject: Public test relms and a raiding guild.!
Archived from groups: alt>games>warcraft (more info?)

I just downloaded the public test client. I rolled one of the test
level 60 rogues. My main is a 60 rogue with half of the .5 tier set.
The 60 rogue blizz gives has full tier 2 gear, the rogue also comes
with 2 epic swords(both enchanted with crusader) and two epic daggers.
All four of these weapons do dps in the high 50's. These are also one
handed weapons....My ambush was critting for twice as much, my regular
attacks were also critting all the time. All the other trinquets or
rings, etc were epic or very good blues. My rogue was a god, but so was
every other player on the server Smile

I guess the point I am getting to is I need to be in a raiding guild.
I'm currently in a guild who is reletivly new. I've been in this guild
for about 4 months on my alt, it started as a guild of mostly alts, now
everyone in there is 60 or approching and we about to start ZG and
AQ20. I brought my main over once everyone started nearing 60.

I've been in guilds like this before, I've been in three guilds that
were all starting to to raid. Two guilds disbanned for almost no reason
what so ever, even after I fronted money for 1 months web hosting. One
guild I had recently joined and they decided to move to a different
server, I didn't want to since I was so new in the guild.

I'm afraid this is going to happen again in my new guild, all though so
far so good?

I've done a few pug MC's. I am almost done with my ony key and will
have full .5 gear soon. I like the concept of raiding and I'd also like
the rewards. I can dps well and always can manage my aggro. I play on
Deathwing and I don't see an over abudence of end game rogues, although
after the patch who knows?

Should I stick with my current guild and hope for the best? Should I
try to get into an esablished guild, and if so how do I go about that?
I've applied on a few forums but I never get any responces, perhaps
because I'm a rogue? Anyways....I want bloodfang, that is all :

Well nothing against my current guild, they are good peeps, but I've
been through this three times before. I plan on keeping all of my alts
in there. I have a paladin who is 52. I think he is gonna be the first
guy I get to really start raiding with since he can heal....but damn I
liked my rogue Razz

I did that a while back, made me incredibly jealous to see how my rogue
compared to full tier 2 with uber gear Sad Not long after that I got a
whole load of ZG gear (4 items in one run including a new sword) which
helped me feel a lot better about my own rogue but I still remember just
how awesome the epic one was. Sadly raiding just doesn't work for me, ZG is
too stressful really and there's no way I'd ever enjoy 40-man raids, so I'm
going to be stuck with non-uber gear forever. I'm just trying to make the
best of it atm but I already have basicallythe best gear available to me,
which isn't even close to Bloodfang etc.

be about being with friends rather than hopping to the biggest guild
that'll take you in. I'm not too keen on the new breed of "hardcore"
raiders appearing in my guild, I know it's needed to help the guild
progress but I'm sick of hearing whines when there isn't a raid scheduled
(because thankfully my guild is not a true hardcore one, realises that
people have real lives and is currently having a scaled down raiding
schedule to let people take a summer break), it's like some people care
about nothing at all except raiding.

I guess what I'm gonna try and do is stick with my current guild but
try and get people more active. Its been more active lately because we
have more 60's but still most of our LFG's are in the lfg channel, not
the guild channel. I think a lot of people in my guild don't realize
I've been in there since the start on my alt, some know but word
doesn't get around and we don't have a webpage yet.

If you can do well in ZG and especially AQ20, you will have little trouble
in Molten Core if you can field a full team. The equipment from ZG is very
close to some of the tier 1 pieces - your only problem will be fire resist.
Spend some cash to get your melee characters up to a decent fire resist
(buffed into the mid 200s at least, main tanks preferably at the limit).

Rogues tend to fill up in guilds very quickly, because they're a fast level
and almost everyone enjoys playing them. You're going to have a hard time
getting into an established raiding guild, unless you've gotten all of your
attunements, and have a good fire resist score. *

Nope, AQ40 does not require any attunement.

MC - get quest, grab shard in BRD next to MC portal (by the black
forge).
Onyxia - very long quest chain, different for horde and alliance.
BWL - grab letter from Quartermaster outside UBRS, go touch orb behind
Drakkisath in UBRS.
Naxxaramas (spelling?) - get at least honored with Argent Dawn, turn a
bunch of expensive stuff in to a guy in Light Hope Chapel.

That is it as far as raid attunement goes.

You know, I have never stepped foot into AQ40, so I can't say. Naxx has a
giant entry barrier, but I doubt any but the craziest raiding guild will
demand access to Naxx as a requirement for membership. *
