Project Freedom, now called Space Intercepter - Project Freedom: the
demo only has one mission. Sad But I was impressed. The Newtonian
physics provide nice 360 degree control and fun dogfights. The
graphics are immersive and there are some interesting weapons. The $20
price is reasonable, too.

It's not really much fun to play to be honest. No real flight model to speak
of. The weapons are quite nice though as are the graphics. However it is
priced accordingly so I guess it balances out.

I'll find out soon, just pre-ordered the game.

I got Yager for about 15 bucks and had hours of fun with it. I think
some companies can charge more because of their name, like id. I know
some people thought it was great, but I was disappointed with Doom 3.

You people are too easily impressed by mediocre visuals.

What are some examples of games with great visuals?

I am DL'ing the Demo now. As for Doom3, it was a total bust. Besides
the frequent CTD's with the nVidia issues, it was, well, boring. I
prefer the Star Wars genre over this.

Not really. As I said I didn't really like the game as the only thing I could
see going for it WAS the graphics. Since I am not a graphics whore I didn't
like the game.

The big interest for me and Doom 3 is what the modders are going to make of
it.

Well, it graphically, it's impressive. Game play, mediocre, but of
course we've only seen a small part of it.

A few come to mind: Independence War 2, Homeworld 2, Imperium Galactica III
[renamed to something else], Far Cry, DOOM3.

None of these could hold a candle to BC3K 2.0, however.

Yea, BC3K has a 2D flight model - hard to beat that.

I thought it was fun for awhile, but about halfway through the demo
mission it started getting a little repetative. I have a feeling I
pretty much experienced everything the game has to offer in about 5
minutes. Graphics were decent though, but the explosions were a little
weak.
