Problems with Halo 2 on Xbox360

Sometimes when linking an Xbox and an Xbox360 for Halo2 LAN party fun,
we get the message "one of the members of your party failed to load the
map" or something on the 360. Anyone else have this problem?

We have downloaded all the map packs from xbox live, but it can happen
with some of the regular maps.

Any recommendations/solutions?

Using XBC or Xlink (which uses system link over the internet) Ive seen this
problem. Apparently it happens when someone has a modded map. Or maybe it's
another reason.
