Are these originals? By that I mean genuine Eidos or are they someone
they sub'ed out to?
Assuming that it is installing the game (still) and not DX ... oh, what
version was it at the time, 8, I think ... or something else (did it
install acrobat?)
Anyway, my first guess would be a bad CD.
You might see if you can find a cheap (read free) CD checker application
that will just verify the readability of the CDs for you. Of course,
you could just copy the entire thing to the HD (and erase it after).
On second thought ... are you using a plain CD reader? Or a CD-RW?
I think the copy protection sometimes stops install from a CD-RW.
Other than that, we'd need details.
The specs of your machine (CPU, graphics card, etc.)
The DirectX version you have loaded
Whether you've kept your audio and video drivers up to date
stuff like that ...
