Problem with URU

I have just rebuilt my PC (Athlon AMD 5200 64bit + NVidia GeForce 7600 GT)
with XP Pro SP2 and was playing URU.

Problem arises in Gahreesen when my avatar tries to jump from one revolving
platform to the other via a rock platform. My avatar falls through the rock
and links back to Rhelto, making the jump impossible. I have installed the
1.2 patch, to no avail.

Gahreesen is the only age I have tried so far, so I don't know if this bug
will appear anywhere else.

Anyone have any ideas?

I didn't fall all the way through the rock, but sunk into it rather
comically.
I had the problem only once.
You could try aiming for different parts of the rock when you jump. Try the
lower rock with the maintainer marker on it, too, to see if you get the
same problem there.
Try resetting the age using the D'ni zero below the book in the Relto
bookcase.
Try a new avatar, even one of the other gender.
You could tweak video settings, but I don't think the graphics hardware
performs any physics.

In Uru Live on Gametap the physics has been ported to the PhysX engine.
There's a different set of foibles. There's a hardware card for the
PhysX engine.
