Can someone who is more of a wiz at computers than me, help me figure
this out? I'm running Windows XP pro on a Dell Latitude D600. Have
downloaded from IF archive (more than once thinking it must not have
worked the first time) htads_playkit_259.exe. I can play tads games
from the desktop if I start at the beginning. However, when I try to
start a saved game, I get this message: "Invalid command line
arguments. No valid game file was specified, or the syntax of one or
more command line options is incorrect." When I try to start a game
from the "My Game Chest" function, I receive this message: "The game
file specified is not a valid compiled TADS game." Any suggestions?
Thanks.

MY guess is that you are trying to open a .sav file directly.
First you need to open the game proper, then you can restore
the saved file.

Hope it helps,
Felix
