Fellow flyers:
Someone just gave me a factory sealed copy of ProFlight 98. Is this in any
way compatible with FS 2004? For that matter, can any older programs
designed for older OS's (I have XP Pro) be run or added on to FS 2004
(aircraft, scenery, etc)? Thanks and smooth flying!
Barry

Barry, I looked at the box of my Proflight98 to see what features it had.
Been a long time since I used that add-on. I do not believe FS9 supports
'adventures' that you could make with PF98. It also had a FMC for the heavy
jets included in FS98. It might be interesting to see if that would carry
over to FS9 but I am doubtful it would.
It likely will not damage FS9.1 if you choose to install it and see, but I
just did a complete reinstall of FS9 so I think I'll let you try this one.
If you do, post your success or failure so we will all know.
Danny

FS98 is not too bad a sim in its own right, although the scenery is very
simple. It is not even compatable with FS8. You cannot port anything from it
I understand. Just enjoy it as a bit of Flight Sim History. It will run on
Win XP. You may have to go into Win 98 compatibility mode which, as you
know, XP will do for you. Right click on the .exe file icon and go to
properties, then select compatibility for Win 98.
